So separately, @Edward and purely for some feedback I couldn't resisit ooening my Kelai tonight. I have really missed it. It has such an instant mood calming and uplifting effect, but very mentally relaxing alongside the high kavain Euphoria.

It is very potent, hits me a bit like instant. I actually notice my lips feeling numb too, whereas I tend to drink so much kava each day currently that the only time I feel my lips are numb is when I am showering the next day lol!

I have really come to love the WoW for its instant anti anxiety and mentally calming effects but the Kelai is very similar in this respect for a heady cultivar, and it does have a slightly mellow sleepy edge to it as well. I can see it combine in very well in any mixed order with my WoW.

Also as others have said, the kelai was surprisingly easy on the palate and Incredibly light coloured brew and seemingly pretty easy on the stomach as well.

If it is clearly good price internationally, do not reduce price. Mayhaps some sampler would be even cooler.

Currently, I'd prefer USA price + USPS + customs to Polish price and, because of subjective reasons, to eBay strains.
You can look at Besfijikava , N@H, Realkava, or KSNZ

But still check Edward regs for all round variety and spice lol!

I got an official warning that I shouldn't mislabel my kava as "Tea" which used to be a favourite method of getting kava in.

The pet use is working fine so far. I can't be prosecuted under UK law as it stands because I am complying 100% with the law.

It would be lovely for kava to be completely legal but I've asked the question of our government quite recently and there is no chance that anything will change soon. There are obviously a lot of other things going on at the moment.
My TKR order of 4 1bs, two each Choice and reserve, was labelled as liquorice tea. This one was strangely held in customs for 5 weeks before being delivered no quibble out of the blue.

I had another order arrived just recently 0 problems whatsoever labelled as herbal tea.

But of course I understand the way you may be importing would require more red tape and declaration somewhere or other but I could be wrong about this.

I recently had 150 Dutch Legal Microdots siezed by border force, after 12 months of trouble free ordering. I got a letter notice of seizure from Border Force, but no threat or suggestion of penalty whatsoever.

It was more a formal notice of my right to dispute whether the goods were in fact, legitimately and lawfully liable for seizure in which case I could challenge the decision by court case.

Either way I stood to get into no trouble which was made very clear to me but it would cost me the court case if I lost and I would lose because of UK laws basically.

What about through this route? https://www.food.gov.uk/business-guidance/novel-foods
I assume the UK must now have a separate process/list and is no longer bound by the EU's novel food list?
I doubt it would get approval because it's already covered by other legislation. Also although it's viewed as a food in the producing nations no different to tea or coffee because it was originally the pharmaceutical companies that were selling it it's still very much thought of as a medicine with all that implies.

Kava???

So I just received my first order from KWK Europe.
Ordered placed on Thursday evening, sent on Friday morning & received on Tuesday, good job KWK & DPD :).
They had a 10% off & I received a complimentary coconut shell bowl & coupon for 10% off the next order.

But there are also some things that they could improve on, shipping costs are crazy, looks like they have a flat rate of 30€ for EU, so I decided to order a bit more to soften the blow, but this is one thing that will for sure hamper them in their business.
Another not so great thing is their stock, they were out of stock for some time, then i have seen the notice here on forum that they received some stuff, but it is still nothing near to the original KWK USA stock.

All in all good experience, when I have time I will try to write a review on their products.

Well enough writing, time to prepare some kava :hungry:

30 € shipping costs? I paid 34,99 PLN which is 7,86 Euro for shipping 2 pounds and a micronized bottle to Germany.

I think it's probably beyond any vendors' control

though i suspect that 36 euro charged by the kwkpl must be some kind of a glitch.
Kava Europe charges 10-15 euros for small shipments if I remember correctly
I have sent an e-mail to kwkpl about this. Because I've never seen that high cost of shipments within Europe before, so I'm curious why they have such a fee. They would probably gain many customers of the shipping wasn't a bit more than buying from NZ!
Usually it's not that much extra to send a package within Europe, than within a country in Europe.

I calculated the postage on the page of my country postal service & with all extras and up to 2 kg it shouldn't be more than 25€, and that is a price for walk-in customers, not for business, I imagine it shouldn't be over 20€ to ship sub 2 kg relatively small package anywhere inside the EU if you are a business and have a good contract with one of the shipping companies.
And if you are trying to make money o shipping, that's just bad business, no one will buy something for 30€ and pay 36€ shipping costs for it.....

If you're in Poland then it's legal for you to import /---/
Interesting. It is legal to import to Estonia and Latvia, too but it is not allowed to sell locally. It is a pharmaceutical herb. It is arbitrary what it means because peppermint is also pharmaceutical.

In thesame time, Poland used to be the only country where kava was criminalized as if it were a heavy drug. There are other weird things in the world, too.

Latvia has added Nymphae caerulea (lotus) to list of of heavily criminalized hard drugs, while it ds an edible plant in SE asia and it is not even psychoactivity. Ignorance at work, probably (compare: parliaments of New Zealand and Finland almost passed laws of adding water to list of dangerous chemicals).

I guess this is effect of not co-opting specialists to legislation (anti-technocracy to put it mildly, idiocracy to put it offensively).

Yes. You are writing in a thread where people discuss their orders placed with them.
Have you had any confirmation mail or updates? My experience is that updates etc tend to get into the spam folder.
You could try sending them a message on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KWKPOLSKA
I don't think you have to worry about getting scammed, but it seems like they are really slow from time to time.

I've sent an email as well, but no reply, would have already ordered if not for the ridiculous shipping price.....................
Did you maybe get any response from them?
