Hi,
I am traveling to Easter Island from New Zealand tomorrow and I would like to bring some kava Tonga to give as a gift. I do not believe kava is or was traditionally consumed by the Rapa Nui people but I thought it would be nice to bring something to leave behind from the other side of Polynesia. As Easter Island is under Chilean jurusidiction, it is subject to their laws. I have tried to find out definitively whether or not kava is legal in Chile, but I can't seem to find any information. Does anyone have some insight regarding this? Just want to be sure before I roll up with a kilo of kava!
