Sneaking kava into theater

Hi everyone,

I want to take my wife to watch LOTR in IMAX tonight. I don't drink alcohol anymore, so I want to sneak in our favorite beverage. I don't have instant, so I just used 6 Oz of water with 8 tablespoons of kava. It's a sludge. Putting it in food dehydrater now. Will let everyone know how it turns out

Woah this would be awesome if it works! Is the dehydrator temp 160? I have an airfryer oven thing that is also a dehydrator (I use it to make jerky, mostly). If it works I'd love to try it out...How long are you dehydrating for?

As long as I sleep today, 6 hours? I usually dehydrate mushrooms for around 12 hours so we will see...

Yea I think the temp is 160.

Just bring medium grind and your strainer ask for an empty popcorn bucket , but jk let us know how the dehydrator worked!

So, 5 hours was crispy... should still work I think. I ate a flake, it was mouth numbing.

This is our first time going out since covid. My mom offered to babysit so we jumped on it. You have to wear a mask, and reserve seats to socially distance, so I'm hoping everything will be fine.

I'd feel paranoid breaking the seal in a hot zone. Maybe just drink your grog before you go inside?

I just ate them and downed with sprite. Mouth numbing but that was about it. I was able to make traditional with what was left in the strainer bag, so not a complete loss.
