Kava Recipe Sweet Kava Mix

I have tried coconut milk, milk & soy milk to cut the bitterness of the heavier kavas in the past. None of which have really done anything for me except make it more gross then it already was. Tonight I was looking through my pantry and decided to give condensed milk a try. Back in the day I used to boil the can to make "Doce de Leite", but that's another recipe.
The taste of kava typically doesn't bother me but the heavier Vanu's are a different story. So the recipe bellow brought the bitter, peppery taste from 100 right down to about 10, impressive!

2 cups of hot water.
1/4-1/2 cup of root (up to you) I used a 1/4 cup.
knead as usual, I never wait 10 minutes, 5 minutes is good enough.
Depending on the amount of root used (if 1/4 cup, 2 tbs of condensed milk) if more adjust to taste.
Mix thoroughly with a whisk or wooden spoon (until the kava changes into a lighter color).
Add 5-6 ice cubes and mix until melted.
Make sure there is no residue at the bottom of your tanoa (I use a medium size salad bow)

Pour into your favorite shell and enjoy. The kava shouldn't taste bitter or peppery any longer.
