When will we realistically see kava prices drop?

I see threads on here where pounds were being sold for the same price as a half pound sells now. Super jealous.

Those days are long gone, my friend. It's doubtful prices will get back to those levels at any point in the future.

Is it really not happening? Before covid I heard several people say that kava prices would be going down because a lot of new land had kava planted in the past year or two. Tonga in particular, IIRC

If anything, I would expect the prices to go up, at least in the short term. Shipping costs have skyrocketed due to Covid.

But yes, long term a decrease is possible. Especially if covid destroys kava bars

Never. Kava is like cocoa or vanilla in that it only grows in very specific conditions. To make matters more complicated, it takes a long time to mature properly.
