Kava Botany I have a new Kava to grow.

Hi everyone, I thought I would take this time to let you all know that I have a new kava that I have been growing for a little over a year now. This is not a Hawaiian kava but it is a well know kava and is a very good noble kava.
I should have this in my product line for sale in about 9-12 months, I will be making a test harvest in 6 months and see how it is.
Well I bet you all are wondering what kava this is. This is a very rare kava for Hawaii and I know of only 1 other person that has this kava. It is Boroguru from Vanuatu. Soon you will be able to buy some Hawaii grown Boroguru.
Here are a few pictures of the Boroguru. I hope you enjoy them and I will keep you all posted as to when I make my first harvest. Aloha.

Nice Chris. I know the Boroguru is a heavy kava but I'm getting all I can handle with the Hanapaki Ai'. Honestly, I'm waiting for more progress on the new found "Orange Kava". Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Vincent Lebot calls this cultivar- "a kava drinkers favorite" and "a single cupful produces the desired effect".
It is good to make it available from Hawaii as diversity and choice is a good thing for your customers.

It also tastes like Sweet Cherry Wine. Later on, we will find out how it enhances the effects of Viagra. On a lighter note, I can see that Dr. Lebot is a liteweight like myself. One dose goes a long way.

Yes, Borogu is from Pentecost originally and called Borogoru in the north part of the island (or so I hear) not sure where the "guru" spelling comes from.

Quick, send me a sample so I can report about it in the Kava Daily! OMG, I just realized something. We could have maca-less Micronized Boroguru where before there was none. Gasp!

In his “Kava Quality Standardization Code” Dr. Teschke recommends Borogu as an example of the poster child of a Noble cultivar– 423561. “Well established for daily drinking without apparent side effects and is known for its rapid effect and is...ideal candidate for future clinical studies”. Well, so are a lot of other kavas, but is is still great that Hawaii now has Borogu. Thanks GHK.
