How legal is kava in Canada?

Its surprising how GHK is able to ship 1 pound of kava to canada for just 6 bucks. He must have some really good deal with USPS. For me the cheapest option comes down to 17 bucks for delivery to toronto city
Coming from the BI the package essentially has to go through "international" shipping to reach the mainland, anyway. A plane ride from Honolulu to Vancouver isn't really any more expensive than a plane from Honolulu to LA.

A little off from the ideal growing conditions ;)
Has it been grown successfully in a greenhouse? There's a biodome near my place with over 500 exotic plants and a ton of birds, maybe I can convince them to grow some piper mythisticum for a few years.
In Michigan we import our fresh tomatoes in February from Ontario. We live in strange times. Anything can happen.

I have successfully ordered and received kava a nunber of times with no issues. I'm in the Montreal area, just off the island where there is arguably the very best Smoked Meat Restaurant (Pete's Smoked Meat). His slogan is " you can't beat Pete's meat"! I was born and raised in Montreal and have no problem boasting about what is warm and wonderful about Canada's second largest city. Summer Festivals, Mount Royal, The Old Port, nighlife (Crescent Street) among many others, restaurants, culture etc. The one thing that Americans never forget about this marvellous city is the smoked meat....delicious!

Small world, I always stay at that little cheap motel right next to Pete's on Ile Perrot. Really good blues music there at night. I'll be shelling there in three week's time.

My son lives a block from the Atwater Market in St.-Henri

Shame there's no kava bars in Montreal, I could see that going over well.

This is completely unrelated to anything that is going on in this thread, but I just had to ask you Kayce777, if you don't mind my asking, in your profile pic is that Florida? It looks like it could be Ft. Lauderdale or Hollywood Beach. Okay back to your regularly scheduled thread. :D

Interestingly, Canada has been supportive of the Pacific Islands in their efforts to develop a regional standard for kava at the Codex Commission

Singh acknowledged the support of the ‘quad countries’; USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand who are also members of the CCNASWP which Fiji belongs to. “They have supported our proposal all the way without reservation,” he said.
- Major success as CODEX Alimentarius Commission approves work on a regional standard for Kava

Yes, that beach was rated in the top five beaches in the U.S. a few years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it, miss it.
