where is this beverage acquired, if I may ask :)
It's from @Henry's New Zealand Kava Society, http://kavasociety.nz/shop/4587268077 . But it seems that the "Cheerful Fijian" (that's what the Qila Leka was called, if I recall correctly) is currently not available. According to Henry it is the same cultivar as the one sold as Savusavu from Kava Time. It's a very heady, strong, euphorizing strain. And it is really fine grind, perfect for using in the AluBall.

I listen to a lot of death metal and I understand Sweden is all dark dense forests with extreme interplays of light and dark where a little light comes through. Also old broken dolls that symbolize death or something.
My tastes lean more towards power & prog metal, but good to have another head banger to share a shell with.

When my wife and I went to see Opeth at the Machine Shop in Flint lots of metal heads hugged us, they were really happy to see old farts there. In fact, I get hugged by strangers at every metal show I attend and I go to lots. THey're just warm huggy people.

I agree! Metal people are some of the best people around. I'll be going to Atlanta next month to ProgPower USA. Its a prog and power metal festival held every year in Atlanta in a very small auditorium. Have you heard of it? Very intimate (less than 1000 tickets) with excellent sound, and many of the same people go down there each year almost like a family reunion. (Check out the facebook comments.) Plenty of young and old farts everywhere. Meet & greets with all the artists. The main two days (Friday & Saturday) usually sell out within hours when the tickets go on sale (about 11 months in advance).

Here is the festival's web page:

Katatonia was the opening band at that Opeth show. :) They were good.

I like some of the more proggy Swedish progmetal, like Anekdoten, Landberk, Anglagard, kind of old school stuff. And then the Porcupine Tree/Steve Wilson stuff from UK, stuff like that. Basically I'm an old fart from the 70s.

Edit: We're both (G)eezerly having grown up in the 70s. I loved the 70s. Its one of those things where you don't realize how special it was until its forever gone.

I can confirm that kava does absolutely nothing for the pain of gout! At least I can grin and whine at the same time!::rootedgrin::::T T2::::rootedgrin::

Ive had gout for many many years. Taking Alipurinal daily solved all my problems. I havent had an attack in years. And I Do feel your pain. Its worse than any other pain Ive ever experienced. My back surgery is like someone tickling me in comparison.
