Totally agree! Thank you Chris. And that other recently fancy packaged stuff is nice but nothing special - especially compared to this Kava. Looking forward to a medium grind @Gourmet Hawaiian Kava !

Hi everyone, I am so happy that you all like the new Ikaika kava. I wanted it to be a strong kava and it is. As I mentioned I sold out of this kava in a day. Lucky I had more that was already in the process of being made and it is now finished and ready for all you kava lovers. The medium grind Ikaika kava will be made using the same 3 different varieties of 'Awa and in the same ratio, it will just be a medium grind and not micro. So it should be nice and strong, just right for the

You should really call this super special extra family secret Hawaiian private select reserve, only harvested on full moons at low tide, by the hands of young beautiful women, and charge $80/lb

I was lucky enough to buy 2lbs of this right when it came out (it pays to watch your email sometimes) and I have really enjoyed it. I am not, however, getting blown away by its potency. I was hoping to use this for a while instead of the the Boroguru for hyper-relaxation followed by a deep sleep but it's not quite getting me to either place. I noticed the last batch of Mahakea micro I bought has more of an edge to it than my last two purchases so I'm wondering if that is somehow overpowering the relaxing properties of the other two for me? I realize no one likes to say anything even remotely negative since the vendors are part of the community here, but I'm surprised no one else has piped in? I am not unhappy and will gladly drink every last spec, but I am just not getting "whoa, that's strong!" effect everyone else is reporting. That Boroguru, on the other hand, kicks my ass every time I drink it. I have been trying to lay off of it lately since it seems to be the biggest dermo perpetrator in my arsenal.
I see nothing wrong with your review, I am glad your enjoying the kava. I have noticed that some kava will affect different people in different ways. An example is the 'Awa Nene, many people tell me that it helps them sleep real good, my wife included, she loves it for a good night sleep. For me the 'Awa Nene does not affect my sleep really. I also like the Mahakea. Thanks for your great comments on my new kava blend.
