Kava, the drink soothing the stress of NY millennials

I've seen this news article posted on a few news outlets right now. Somebody sure wants to promote kava or at least their kava bar right now.

Can't decide if such publicity is good or bad. Thoughts?

I saw it pop up a few times today too, but since it equated kava with NY millennials, I figured it would be a waste of time.

A part of me has begun to despise positive articles about kava, I just imagine them creating more demand and even higher prices for the consumer.

I tried avocado toast once. Tasted like pure heaven but didn’t do anything for my anxiety so I never bothered with it again. Reminds me of the time I drank a gallon of Squanch in half an hour. Felt great but it made me feel a little bloated. Why is everything in life such a bitter disappointment? Is that all there is to panis et circensis?

There was an article posted last month about I think Tonga wanting to restrict kava growing to citizens. I heard there is some concern over xenophobia but I wonder if kava will ever get big enough to where that sort of exploitation is a big problem.

Vanuatu has always restricted nakamal owners to "ni-Vanuatu". In practice that has meant only ethnic nivans can operate nakamals, though the letter of the law defines "ni-Vanuatu" as citizens, rather than ethnic Vanuatu natives.

Sometimes I wonder why the thriving export middlemen are passport-nivans, but yet any waetman- or asian-owned nakamal would get spyglassed into bankruptcy quicktime.
