Hi, my name is Carina and I live in Sweden (sorry for my not perfect English). I got my first Kava (instant) yesterday and it was a wonderul drink. For many years I drank K@ but it has become illegal in Sweden and I have tried many alternatives but Kava is the best I have tried. Now I have of course try to read all I can find about it but there is one thing I still wonder. I don' t intend to drink it every day but maybe two to three days a week, but I wonder how many cups (shells) can I drink in a day. Today I have been drinking two. One early in the morning and then one about three hours later. I take about 1,5 teaspoon every time. Is it ok to drink 4 or 5 cups a day or is that too much? As I said I will not drink it every day.
I have heard about the risks for the liver but my liver has been good always and I never drink alcohol. I don't even know how dangerous Kava is for the liver. Is it worse than alcohol?
Honestly I am not very afraid, maybe I should be? So please I would love to hear from people who drinks several times a day and how many hours that pass between those times.
Thankyou for reading this!

Howdy Carina , welcome to the forums! sorry for the late reply, long day!

I drink kava almost everyday and K@ is nothing like kava so you can go ahead and drink as much as you need. In the future try getting medium grind kava because it is way cheaper. Look at The Kava Society of New Zealand and others, The kava society has the best kava, if it wasn't so far from me, I'd buy it more often.

The liver thing is a myth, nothing to worry about. People have been drinking kava for over 3000 years.
