What's everybody's opinion on the whole "purple lotus 'komodo' drink"?

I read up more about the lawsuit, and I didn't know that k***** wasn't mentioned in the kava. That really scares me, IMO it puts both plants into a HUGELY negative perspective to everyone who reads about it without knowing anything beforehand. I'm pretty disgusted, I believe both of these plants can be powerful medicine used correctly, it's a damned shame that someone could exploit them as such. Sorry for the rambling i'm pretty krunked atm. I'm also sorry if there's already thread discussing this.

As a kava bar owner I think it's madness that a drink would be served made with an intoxicant that they don't tell people about. It is not even a lie by omission. People are going to a kava bar, so they assume the intoxicant they are imbibing in is kava. Including another intoxicant without telling anybody about it is a flat out lie. Is there even a question about whether that is okay?

I agree completely. I checked their site. They don't even mention it online. They only state that it is a blend with a "euphoric" touch. IMO it's the equivalent of slipping their customers a mickey.

Well I take kra and kava so where do I buy this online? I dont agree with nit putting it on the ingredients but its a win win for me! (y)

I sure do that for every kava drink Judd but I am an experimenting type of guy and want to test myself on all the hype. I definitely don't want to "promote" this product and this is my first time hearing of this, but if it has potential to ruin kavas reputation then the hell with me buying that!

I use a variety of herbs for medicinal purposes, but use them all knowingly, the problem with this, besides it being available to those who would use it irresponsibly or are minors, is that the only listed ingredient is the kava. They aren't traditionally used together (to my knowledge), and the risk of someone getting in trouble is greater, therefore the risk of ruining the reputation of either further is increased.

What is the spec on Purple Lotus, is it really Intoxicating? I know nothing about it. I think I ordered some Lotus thing back in the day from Mood and Mind put I don't think I got any effects. They claim you should mix it in wine but I think the wine gave me whatever effect I felt. But everyone here is correct, you absolutely must have truth in labeling and list every ingredient in your drinks. Slipping them a Mickey is a good description but that kind of crap does not help Kava or the reputable Kava Bars like BKH, Adil's, Andrew's, Nakava and so on.

Are you thinking of Blue Lotus ?? An Ancient Egyptian Herb. From the Lily Flower. Which is used in Tea Blends.
And can be soaked in wine. But Blue Lotus is actually Weak and a very Mild Sedative.
I thought this was a Lotus Drink too, at first, but its actually the name of the Kava bar.

Thanks Keeron. I was thinking of Blue Lotus so then we really don't know what the "blend of herbs" might be.
