12th Annual Kava Festival Honolulu, Hawaii October 17th, 2015 (pictures)

Aloha everyone! Just wanted to post some pics from the Kava Festival. Always great hanging out with Adil @Paradise Kava and drank some good root all day long! By the end of the day we were feeling pretty good to say the least Took some pictures early in the morning when it was not too busy yet. We had some rain come and go with a beautiful rainbow.

Cool pics Steve, you've been consistent with this event over the years
One picture shows the Mo'i dry bucket and the Mo'i fresh bucket equally as consumed as each other and I can't wrap my brain around it.
The only thing I can do to justify this is to imagine that the dry bucket is still the first bucket of the day, but the fresh bucket had already been consumed, refilled, and half emptied again.

Do you know Keoni Verity who used to run Hale Noa ? Does he go to these things? If not, where did he disappear to after the demise of Hale Noa ?

Third pic down, guy to the right looks like he don't feel good! Bad root? Too much? 9000 degree heat? Zoom and see.
Or he could have taken a swig of that two day lookin stuff in the bag he is holding.

Awesome pictures! @shakas is right though - who on earth would drink dried kava when they could drink it fresh?
Also, one guy seems to be selling a mildly alcoholic beverage (below 0.5%) made with kava (including Isa!) ? What a strange idea! Have you tried it?

Oh to knock back a few shells of from M'oi and they sit in the warm rain. It's on the bucket list.

You can image I was talking to many folks about the kava candy...after drinking "many" shells...I decided to make a little video at the end of the day in case my ability to speak left my body...LOL

Thanks Shakas! There are actually quite a few new folks interested in kava so maybe they go through the sampling comparing fresh vs. dry, etc. and not really knowing...my best guess. Don't know Keoni but maybe @Paradise Kava can comment on what happened.

Yep,,that is the man! Adil Yea, rain did not bother us...too much kava to think about.

It was actually really good...very good flavor and definitely felt something. The owner is from Papa New Guinea...very cool guy

Where does the nutritonal content in that kava drink come from????
The half Isa and Noble and stuff ... there is nothing in the ingrediants that would offer such nutritonal value as far as I know ?... is it kava ??

If I can't make it there next year I plan to hopefully find someone attending so I can give them a kavaforums t-shirt. Really wish I could have gone. @Steve, think you could throw a rope over to California and pull Hawaii a little closer? Awesome pictures.

Not sure but gotta say it was pretty tasty stuff. I drank a full glass of the nene and sampled the Isa. Funny thing during the Kava Conference (this past summer). People were talking about Isa and how it got to Hawaii. Lebot just quietly raises his hand and says sorry. Everybody just started laughing.

You would be proud...I asked vendors if I could take their picture as some of them would be going on kavaforums.com to show everyone. Well, hopefully you can make it next year! If for some reason the stars are not aligned, I would be happy to wear the shirt
