I think fruit is the best chaser and kills the bitterness really well without excessive sugar/sodium. Apples, peaches, oranges, and cherries are my go-to. Sometimes I'll reach for something salty like a chip but I still normally follow that with a chunk of fruit.

I'm far from an expert on the various strains and origins- just an enthusiast that tries to find the best and most consistent suppliers. I love BKH's Nambawan, too. Maybe try KavaTime's Ambae. ETA - it looks like they're out of stock, but I'm going to give the Santo's Pride a try.
