No idea how long before it becomes unsafe to ingest, but I can tell you that i let kava sit overnight one time and drank it the next day and it did not taste great. Tasted kind of like grass clippings smell.

A good sized meal just before or during drinking kava prolongs it a bit for me.

KWK's Boronguru is heavy and sedating for sure. Stone from Nakamal at Home is another solid choice.

I 100% agree with everything you said. Love this stuff, and everything I've gotten from Fiji Vanua. Like Ace, I like to mix this stuff with their other kavas. The mix described is great, and so is one with the Vanuatu, Malo Tongan, and the Santa Cruz. Drinking currently. Bula!

I had first shot of Moderna 2 weeks ago and drank kava the day before, day of, and day after. No ill effects.

I assume you already know this, but make sure you are consuming kava on an empty stomach. I use warm-almost hot water with mine. There's a lot of factors but if you're drinking on an empty stomach then I would say reverse tolerance is the most likely reason you haven't gotten strong effects yet...

Highly recommend Fiji Vanua Kava. Great kava at a great price. I also highly recommend traditional prep. How did you prepare the pouni ono?

I've noticed the tiny black specs in a lot of kava from many different vendors. I always wondered what it was, but it would make sense for it to be iron. I've seen black specs like that come out of breakfast cereal with the use of a strong magnet.

This stuff is awesome! And every Fiji Vanua Kava product I've tried has been great. The Malo is heady in a way that makes smiling easier and more frequent. I noticed a mood lift after every shell, and like Kapm said, no nausea. The taste was surprisingly mellow and the initial onset was like 5...
