10 year old Hanakapi Ai hair roots

[Gourmet Hawaiian Kava]

Hi everyone, I have finished processing my 10 year old Hanakapi Ai, this is only the Hair roots and it is very strong. I should have it up on my website tonight if the weather permits, my satellite connection does not work well with all the heavy rain we have been having. If not tonight then I will have it tomorrow. This is a heavy kava and I am sure you will all find it a superb kava. Since there are only the hair like lateral roots I expect it to sell out fast but I did harvest 15 of my mother plants to make this available to you folks. The 10 year old age of the plants will make it special too. I am sorry but I only made it in a medium grind but I know you will all like it.

They are excellent as stuffing for craft projects, such as pillows, stuffed animals, etc.

The only part of the kava plant that is peeled is the stump or corm, since the roots are underground there is no chlorophyll and alkaloids that are found in the above ground parts of the plant. The corm is safe but the bark does have some of these chemicals and the concentration of these goes up as you go higher up the plant and that is why we will peel the stump or corm of the kava, it also helps with the flavor, the outer bark is more bitter.
Not all Hawaiian varieties will give fine root hairs in such abundance so that is why I harvest the root hairs from this variety, Mahakea for example does not have any fine root hairs but you will get some large lateral roots, up to 3 inches in diameter. I separate them in this case to provide a really strong kava with great overall effects, if I mixed it with the corm of the kava then it would change the effects. I will actually be making a Hawaiian blend with the corm of this Hanakapi Ai and some other Hawaiian varieties, that will be available soon.

Im down for doing reviews, I find it fun and like to be able to pass on info to others that may also be interested in the
specific kava ect...but this stuff is insane!
I dont know much about it at all, and the mystery behind it is what draws me in even closer! lol...
Im guessing since these "hair roots" are so strong we probably wont need as much as normal med grind right?
The regular (Hanakapi Ai) sounds strong from what I'v found online...so I can just imagine lol

I hope he didn't mean to say he pulled his nose hairs out by the roots for the last 10 years. 10 year nose hair roots, 10 year kava root hairs ... well I guess we'll find out soon.

Ok, I see it on his web site. So its pure lateral root. All of his newer kavas including the Papa Kea have more lateral root and more headiness. So this is going to be an interesting kava for sure. If I remember correctly, the old version was a very dark kava and strong. That was like autumn of last year. It's been a while. That's not a bad price for something that is pure lateral root. Root hairs sound like they are too small to attempt a Macas extraction and so no micronized on this deal.

Not quite. He actually let his nose hairs grow for the past 10 years, and then recently "harvested" them all at once. @Deleted User assisted as well, by providing specially selected hairs from his beard to boost the KL content. So rest assured about the freshness of the hairs.
