Wow, got mine yesterday, whipped up a strong batch, ended up way stronger than expected, glorious effects, complete just melt away and let the music bath you with good vibes, this is the best kava I've had that wasn't fresh, reminded me alot of fresh root that I've had, judging by last night, I wouldn't drink this during the day, this is the stuff the old timers bust out real late at night to share amongst there group of die hard kava veterans, after all the "regular" kava drinkers wonder home satisfied with there regular kava, this is what I'd like to think. Something about it had a really good feel to it, like these plants had an enjoyable life. And they want to reward theire drinkers.

@Robert, everything about the Hanapaki Ai' is true. Tonight I will get ready for the weekend by making a batch of Hanapaki Ai' and storing it in the refrigerator. I already have plans to do half of it on Friday night for relaxation and the rest on on Sunday Night, to kill the pain brought on by weekend chores. This is a perfect weekend kava.

Haha... top shelf is the most perfect of words to use for such a kava as this..from every kava I have ever done...nothing has done what this could..
And it had soo many things going for it, at the same time...thats why all I could do is call it magical lateral hair roots lol...think theres more magic in this root then kavalactones! Lol

Because I can't figure out how to pronounce it, I think of this kava as Hanky Panky awa, or Chris's nose hair kava ;) I read too many posts here.

The good thing about this kava is that it does not matter what you call it, it will still be just as strong and fresh and give you a wonderful effect when you drink it. (y) It's just plain Hana kapi good. :hungry:
But for those that want to know how to say it, it goes like this-- Ha Na Ka pee eye, it is as easy as that. :D

I pronounce it Hana Kapi Aaayyyyeeeeeee .....::awesomesmiles:: But that's the Tex Mex pronounciation. One thing I keep noticing about this kava is that there are no lingering effects the next day. It's damn strong and yet I feel nothing the next day. I pop out of bed and sometimes ahead of the alarm. Honestly, I get more lingering effects with Papa Kea and Mo'i. All these Hawaiian Kavas are different and it's fun cataloging the different effects. So ... what's next Chris? :whistle: It's true, we are never happy. :LOL:

FYI. I popped out of bed at 5am on Saturday to catch up on some work. That is why I don't drink booze on Fridays anymore, I do Kava so I can bounce out of bed with a clear head and get some serious work down in the office before I start the weekend chore grind.

One of these days I would like to try this one, but the makas make me nervous. I do have a slight allergy to the makas, so I tend to stay with instant or your micros. Any plans on an instant or micro version, or maybe I can buy a smaller bag to see how it effects me? Med grind Nene hits my allergies hard, but oddly med grind mahakea only slightly. I only buy your micro because you take the makas out (thanks)! ::hugsmiley::

Use a good filter, like a sub 80 micron nut milk bag, or double layered stockings, and you will filter out the makas. Personally I have had no problem with stomach upset from the hairy panky. I actually have more problems with the micronized.

I never had a problem with this at all. I know every ones different , but after kneading and straining, with a "good" strainer bag,
your left with a dark colored magic brew lol...it was so easy on my stomach I couldn't even tell I was drinking down the kava all night! Usually I can atleast feel the kava sitting in my belly, as well as anything for that matter lol.."food ect" but with this it
was different...it was so strong and potent, yet so light and easy on the inside of your body!
I would just see if you can get a sample to try, and a good strainer and see how it goes for you,
I literally haven't touched this kava since we all did the kava party lol...and it's not because I didn't like it,,
It hard having a kid, finding the right' time to do certain things, some kavas are easier for me to take in the day, I wouldnt take this one early though, and its so strong and last so long I haven't yet had time to play again hehe...
Soon I hope! That night was amazingly fun, and this kava was the main reason, besides all the great members here! :)

For the Hanakapi'ai I would recommend to start with: knead 6 tablespoons of it in a stocking (possibly double layered, depending on the sensitivity of your stomach) in 4 cups of hot water for 10 minutes. Drink it in 6 or 8 oz shells (or cups if you don't have shells like I don't) spaced approx 15-30 minutes apart. Note the effect can creep up on you. It will make hair grow on your chest... and everywhere else on your body. For the instant Mo'i, save it for special times when you don't have time to do the full knead, or add some to boost the headiness of your Hanakapi. A serving of instant Mo'i is about 1 tablespoon in 1 cup of water; no straining needed.
