Actually, I should stop... any input about brain regeneration?

Hey @ll,

perhaps that's a personal thing with my brain chemistry or even leaky gut.

The point is, when I (try to) stop Kava suddenly, which doesn't work for me, to be honest, it is always the same. The brain feels off, the mind feels off, like the nerves have a hard time. As soon as I drink a little kava, everything becomes normal again. It feels like it could be lasting issue, but due to I didn't stop for a couple of weeks yet, I don't know that.

Has anybody similar experiences and knows how long it takes until you are back to normal?

Thx

PS: Don't blame me when I drink one more year ;)

Do not worry too much. Kavalactones are very mild comparably to any major drug. There is lax evidence of any major downregulation of GABA or Dopamine (the two main ones you'd be worried about). I have a very heavy user and have had gone months without any consumption as have many here due to surgeries etc. In theory yes there may be some minor down-regulation, but nothing your brain won't bounce back from quickly. I cannot promise you wont be.. sad.. I hate when I don't do Kava for months, but it has nothing to do with your physical body and everything to do with the fact you enjoyed it. This CANNOT be said for most substances.

Another way to put it, Kavalactones nudge against your brain chemicals like a cat rubbing his neck on furniture. Xanax storms in like the gestapo and takes control.
