anyone tried the AluBall?

Yes, please note as instructed that the Shaker Bottle is not to be used with hot water. We're sorry to hear that you compromised the shaker bottle. Have you used it since with room temperature tap water? Does it still leak? If so, we can send you a replacement bottle. We don't want a mistake like that to ruin your AluBall experience

Yeah it still leaks. I know a lot of people use 120 degree water to prep so I figured I should mentioned it, don't do what ol' Squanch did. Yeah it leaks, it made cracks in the bottom of the shaker bottle.
Man I am impressed, I got twisted off of what 2.5 tablespoons of medium grind and a minutes work. So simple and no mess to deal with. I am always getting root oil squirt shrapnel on my clothes and counter when doing traditional prep.

Just want to take a moment to give props to Kavafied's customer service. I didn't read instructions, used hot water, and thus ruined the shaker bottle. Even though I messed up, Kavafied is sending me a replacement shaker bottle free of charge. Top notch customer service, I say!

A little trick I found last night I thought I would share. After I used the Aluball, I opened up in two pieces. I took the piece with the root ball in it, held it over the bottle, then I carefully, so as not to get any root in the cup, used my fingers to squeeze the root ball against the fine mesh to get the rest of the juice out.
As Kap would say, there are kavalactones in them thar hills.

You can also gently rattle the AluBall in the bottle after its empty to get most of the remaining juices out of the ball ::chugger::

Ultrasonic sounds cool, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of new cool ways to make it as the industry grows. Just think of how many ways there are to make coffee....

Anyway to buy that many balls without the cups? Just ordered one from you but am onterested in buying more of just the balls. My roommates and i generally brew a bunch at once and would love to be able to do what you did in video above without buying that many cups
