They're made from the same root combo so they should be pretty similar if you intake amounts that give you a similar overall kavalactone intake.

I've had them both and like them both. The instant is very easy to drink...it has a fresh taste to it that I find pretty pleasant for kava, almost similar to green tea. The effects are nicely balanced for me; I can have it midday and get pleasantly relaxed and happy without becoming groggy. That said, some days it can hit me very strong and other days it can have almost no effect, and I'm not sure why.
The 11 year waka is pretty crazy stuff. I save that for evenings when I really want to chill or need something strong to take the edge off. That said, I have to go easy with it and keep it to 1-2 days a week, no more, otherwise it seems to flare up the dermo pretty bad.
