Borogu aka my search for a "heady" kava

yup BKH has awesome shipping speeds.
So I went ahead and got another half kilo of Boroguru, and a half kilo of Melo Melo.
Made a 10 tbsp batch of the MM and am currently enjoying it now. It's pretty nice, first real "heady" kava. I think boroguru may be a bit more "hard-hitting" in a way, but it's a totally different sensation. This is good stuff. BKH....two thumbs up.

Just since I figure this might help, here is the rundown of my experience with relative potency of the different products. Here is the amount I need to get the same level of effects, or "where I want to be"
Nambawan- 5 tablespoons
Boroguru and Borogu- 8 tablespoons
Melo Melo- 9 tablespoons
Waka- 10 tablespoons

Fu'u was around 7-8 too, if I remember correctly, so I can't definitively say since I only had it a few times due to the grind issue for me.
That's a great comparison for someone who doesn't have experience with all of those types yet. If you don't mind me asking, where exactly is it that you want to be? Do you take use those amounts to de-stress during the day or for deep relaxation with ensured sleep? Also, how many servings do you make with those measurements (Im assuming a serving would be around 4-5oz brewed).

"Where I want to be" is where my anxiety is greatly reduced, if not completely gone. This usually comes with a pretty fair sense of well-being and if the kava is heavy, that "couch-lock" sort of feeling. That all being said, I don't drink so much that I need to go to sleep within an hour, or something like that. While it can be sedating, it is not to the point where I need to go to sleep.
For example, I could go out and drive if something emergent came up, or do some homework or something that is pretty cognitively difficult. So, in that way, I am not impaired or intoxicated.

As far as "servings" go, I usually end up using about 2-3 cups of water (16-24 fl oz) and I consume the whole bowl, all in one go.
I don't space things apart and drink a batch over a period of time unless I am drinking a kava high in kavain.
