Brand New To Kava..

Hello everyone,
I would just like to introduce myself real quick. I am looking forward to trying Kava and think it could really be beneficial for me. A little background I have been a relapsing addict on opiates for the last 6 years. I've used K@ which has helped me get off the opiates and the cravings, though am no longer able to use K@ anymore because I am on a medication called Vivitrol (Naltrexone), which binds to the opiate receptors causing it to block any euphoria from any opiates or K@.

I ordered a Kava paste off of ebay (which is where I will have to buy the Kava via Paypal), which should be here on monday. I read about the reverse tolerance and realize this was a stupid purchase lol. Just wondering has anyone had any decent purchases of Kava on ebay?

Anyways, I'm really excited, and any pointers anyone has or experience how this has helped them off of narcotics are greatly appreciated. Nice to meet you all!

ALSO, has anyone ever tried the Herbal Island brand and have any feedback on it? I found a 10x Instant Extract I was thinking about trying.

Ya that was pretty much my problem, didn't know where to start. Got the idea to look for a forum AFTER my purchase lol. Thank you for the feedback and advice. I'll have to check the shop out! Again, much appreciated.

Welcome, @tBERGz I'm quite new to Kava as well, but am finding that the more I drink the better I'm feeling. So far I've only purchased the sampler from BKH. I'm really starting to feel the Nangol Noble and Nambawan. The Nambawan is my favorite so far. It was the first one I actually felt. I'm looking to stop a daily alcohol ritual. Hopefully this is the answer. I've only drank twice in the last 8 days, and have been drinking Kava every day except the 2 days I had alcohol. I think I'm starting to like the Kava feeling over the alcohol feeling. I kind of favored opiates as well, and have noticed the Kava has given me pain relief and a euphoric feeling. Give Kava a chance to work. Everyone's different...took me a week to start feeling the effects real well. I wish you well on your Kava journey.

Thank you for the encouraging words and your experience with Kava so far. I'll have to look up the BKH sampler pack and give it a go. Really looking forward to trying it out! I just got the CO2 extract I ordered off ebay today, so now I'm shopping to find some powder.
