Judd sent me a sample of 11 Year Waka Micro, and from the time he told me he'd sent it to the time it arrived was 1.5 weeks. My Nambawan order from BKH didn't take that long. Most of my stuff from GHK and Kalm take 3-4 days, max. Something was definitely weird with shipping out of Portland recently.

I just assume everything takes a week. Anything earlier is a blessing in my book. Let us know how it goes with the 11 year @Steve Mariotti , i adore it but it dries me out like no other...

I got my GHK Micronized Sampler Pack exactly 1 week after I ordered it. This is exactly what I expected and predicted. So I'm a happy camper. Waiting an extra few days for 100% Fresh Noble Kava is no problem for me. By the way, the New Improved Micronized Macaless Moi is ground so fine that it went down like instant. No grittiness in the throat. I did the last of an older bag of Micronized Nene to compare it and the Nene had a little bit of grittiness which I expected. The newer grind is outstanding!
Ya i just got my sampler too! I too noticed the nice fine grain! The moi makes me very happy hahah

I have found the USPS to be reliable at being unreliable. I have had tracking #'s that say it left California and then nothing for a week or more then all of the sudden it is in my PO box, no tracking through Honolulu. Very strange.
I want to let you all know that since I live in a remote part of Hawaii and the people here are on Hawaiian time and my post office closes at 2 PM and then it still has to go to Honolulu and then the mainland. Not to mention the time difference from the mainland.
Rest assured that I work very hard to get the packages out in a timely fashion and rest assured that you are getting the freshest kava in the world.
Please let me know if anyone ever has a problem and I will fix it.
Aloha to all.

I've noticed that the USPS tracking site shows two things:

1. Shipping label has been created.
(many days go by)
2. Out for Delivery (preceded by detailed tracking records that would have been HELLA useful all week.)

That's pretty much it.

Thank you for all that you do! It is very appreciated here! You dont even charge for shipping if im not mistaking? That is what i consider the most one can do to make up for all of that! beyond all of that even if we do pay for shipping, the cost is irelant when its for the worlds freshest and finest kava in the world! Not to mention all of your efforts!

It seems to take several days for USPS to get the package out of Hawaii. I'll bet the drivers are tooling down the road sippin' on some kava. So it takes a week to get to Texas but I'm willing to wait because I only drink Hawaiian Kava. To play it safe, just order 10 days in advance and chill. When it arrives, then do what I do, run to the mailbox like Santa Claus just arrived. :wideyed::joyful:

It's not just hawaii. My orders from Kalm are usually wonky as well. I mean it shows up in 3-5 but the tracking info is god awful. This ist latest from them. Notice the delivery date of yesterday but it didn't even leave MT until 2:30pm.

I'm glad it's not just me with USPS. I thought maybe when ordering I just wasn't clicking BUY hard enough.

It's now he night of the 7th and still no delivery. Also states the 6th as expected delivery. Hahah!

So don't feel bad! You are not alone. I'm not worried as I have stacks on stacks on stacks of kava still....I'm a kava doomsday prepper.

the question i always ask myself is, do I get my package on saturday, or monday? by the time monday morning comes, i've come to the acceptance that it will be here by tuesday. and it'll show up AFTER I have to leave for work.. Patience is a virtue, and by the time I get to open kinda chuckle at how antsy I got waiting. I always expect it to take 7-8 days, which is nothing considering the remoteness of chris' farm and the 3-4 plane trips it takes to get to the 'Nati. I only order kava maybe four or five times a year, so I get excited.

It's due to all that snow that was dumped along USPS major shipping lanes last week.

It's taking a while for me too. Except I know it's not on Chris, he shipped the goods the day after I placed the order; it's the frackin postal service.

Mine said "expected delivery march 6th" until about 6 hours before it showed up on the 10th.

USPS is as fickle as kava...

I've had the same experiences getting stuff from GHK and unlike some here I think it is fine, as some have said if you've been to Hawaii... It is different there, and it should be! And the guy explains above what he has to do to properly get it off, which all makes sense. If he were a larger operation then he could rent a small place in the biggest city right next to USPS or FedEx/UPS (or LA or Portland or whatever - that might make even more sense but is more disconnected) and have some quick-ship boxes ready and a single worker there and from the website you would be able to see if you just buy this or that or the other thing it will be in the mail in 3 hrs or whatever, labelled as 'quick ship' items, but the fact is this industry just doesn't work like that, we aren't buying hard drives or ethernet cables. Maybe if his business triples or quadruples or something he could consider that. Overheads are very high to add something like that. But I think the Kava taste and naseau will always keep this a moderate activity in terms of societal acceptance/use, I don't know if he will quadruple anytime soon. Who knows. They just opened a Kava Bar in Berkeley, that is some progress. In cases where I really need some instant quickly I get a small amount of Instant from the Portland place, or Fire Island from Florida (NAH), since both come from the mainland get here very quickly while a larger load from GHK comes in.
