Combining kava and kanna?

Hitch

Kava Curious
Bula All, as I've posted recently, I'm on a bit of quest to improve my kava experiences -- I love kava but feel I've reached a point where I'm drinking it a bit less due to some 'negative residual effects' after the initial joy of the first hour or two.

I wonder if anyone has combined kava with kanna? I just ordered some kanna extract and plan to add it to my typical kava I make using instant kava...

I'll report back on the results!

Let us know.
I haven't.
I know some use it with K@, I haven't used Kenna myself, but do use K@ regularly since 07 for chronic pain management (I lower the dose when with or near kava).
I wouldn't rec K@ unless it's for pain or a specific issue instead of most pharma. For some it can be addictive, especially if already with a history of substance abuse (and for many it helps that in a positive way. A toss up I guess)

CBD and kava is nice tho! Safe, non addictive etc etc.
I often have some CBD vape or oil with it (and a tiny tiny touch of thc. Not big on thc anymore personally)

Yes. Nothing interesting (traditional balanced kava and some balanced kanna extract, sublingual). These did not seem to interact with each other in any meaningful manner up to moderate heavy doses. I'd rather not use them together because a bit of kanna is overpowered by kava and more of it overpowers the kava experience.

I have tried this maybe five times and the result is that the kava generally overpowers the kanna.

On a related note, If I mixed a heavy kava with a heavy k@, it might help but k@ is much more dangerous and addictive. Some are more susceptible than others but k@ is addictive for anyone. I haven’t found anything so far that is addictive for some and not for others. It’s just that some are more prone to addiction, at least with some things. It’s complicated.

CBD or CBG work fine for increasing the anti inflammatory pain relief in the muscles. That’s just my experience.
