I've had a lot of experience with all kinds of drugs, luckily I've never been addicted to anything though.
Three years ago I had severe trauma to my jaw and was left with a medical condition called Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD). My case was so bad and unfortunately it's an extremely complicated condition to treat if you have a severe case. To top it off, all doctors have different methods of treating it, so the patient is left having to do most of the work figuring out who to see (they charge a hell of a lot too). I've been having to travel from London to Las Vegas every few months to see my chosen doctor, thankfully I'm a hell of a lot better now than I was.
Because the symptoms of my case were mainly severe muscle pain, I fell in love with Diazepam because it just relaxes muscles so well. I knew the consequences of a benzo addiction though so luckily never let things get to that stage, although i was very close.
Now 8 months after seeing my doctor my symptoms are pretty much under control, I'm just left with some small muscle tension in certain areas.
I've ordered my first batch of Kava this week (Boroguru), and I have a feeling Kava's gonna be just the thing for me.
I reckon about a week until my delivery arrives now

perhaps yer right. yet i was sure that anyone in their right mind would notice that was a joke and leave it at that. yea, i gotta fucked up sense of humor, and sometimes i feel i gotta throw a joke in to mix things up a bit. wrong? right? id say it doesnt matter, seeing as how right and wrong are arbitrary descriptors anyway, which are far from objective by nature. ultimately, i feel its best to take it as it was intended: a joke. nothing to get hung about.
if you laughed, cool. if not, cool. not that serious. if a person out there is dumb enough to base their entire opinion of the kava plant by the obvious comedic shenanigans of one random idiot (me), and discard the hundreds of thousands of legit and serious posts on the subject, then that person aint grown up enough to be fucking with mind altering plants/chemicals in the first place. i respect your opinion regardless. were all entitled to one. but keep in mind opinions are like assholes: we all got one, theyre all fulla shit.
but in regards to this entire thread, i agree. i dont see what this really has to do with kava at all. but hey. whatevs.

I think what's at issue is not people unable to take a joke. Everyone here is usually really laid back about everything, but we've had conversations recently about "the future of kava" and how image is so important when it comes to popular opinion/political decisions.
Link kava to the wrong substance and suddenly you create a pattern of behavior. People love their kava, and it's a great way to get off those other substances, actually, so I think there is a lot of fear of stupid political lashback against what is really a very safe and organic substance.
