Getting rid of sediments in pitcher

Hello @ll,

this is now the third pitcher after all those years getting this brownish sediment I just can't get rid of with dish soap.

Does someone has a fix for that? It is sad, I know the pitcher is OK. But you can't let it use someone else or blend something for others, because they might think it is dirt or bacteria and stuff...

I was going to come on and say "DRINK ALL THE SEDIMENT ITS FULL OF LACTONES!"
BUT... I see you mean it in a different way...
Honestly I'd say it's stained is more what you are saying.
Unfortunately aside from an isopropyl alcohol soak and wash, and/or warm-hot water and soap scrub wash.. no.
Atleast I haven't been able to anyways (been drinking kava since 2006) .

Update if you ever figure anything out ;) .
Just tell people it's stained from root drinks and not dirty, for now :D

Goodluck!

You have to come to terms with the "kava making equipment" and know that is a common thing for all of us. :). Set aside the pitchers, bowls etc just for kava, I find it easier that way. have been using the same salad bowl for 10 years to mix my kava, I wash it often with soap, I could use it for other foods but I don't.

I use a Nalgene liter bottle for my grog and I have scrubbed the Sh*t out it and it is still brownish something on the inside, oh well.
