New member here. Recently read a few comments in the threads with new members Kava forum and so far like what I see. Helpful and interesting info. I am a Kava tea drinker and usually drink just one cup. I don't personally see/feel a difference as far my anxiety goes. Should I try more than one cup without consuming too much??

Are you using the Yogi brand tea? I've tried it and didn't really notice any effects.
and welcome!

Bula, @daisyduke. Welcome to Kavaforums.

The consensus on here appears to be that kava tea doesn't work. The active ingredient in kava (kavalactones) isn't water soluble, so simply steeping kava in water won't produce an efficacious tea.

You should try some traditional grind kava prepared in the traditional way, or try a micronised kava (which doesn't require getting your hands dirty).

@daisyduke, welcome to the forum!:woot: Listen to these guys on the tea, I have no idea what the tea does. I just did some Moi and 30 minutes later some Nene Micronized. I've got a nice buzz before supper and then it's the couch. ::couch:: Wheeee, it's movie night too! Whip out a Netflix DVD.

Hi,

Yogi kava tea does work a bit when one uses 2 bags to brew it. At least I could feel it. It's rather tasty and pleasant. But it's certainly not the real thing.
