What's new

Hello KavaForums

I've been lurking around here for awhile, and I finally decided to drop in and say hello. Over the past few months I've become quite a devoted Kava fan as its helped me immensely during a benzo taper I'm currently going through. I don't know that I would be as successful in getting off those insidious little things without Kava. My Kava use has been largely informed by the wisdom I've found on these forums (especially Deleted User's acetone test results,) so I would like to thank everybody here for fostering an inviting and informative community. Despite my not knowing anybody here, the information I've gleened from this forum has definitely assisted me on my Kava journey.

Kava Who?
Well alow me to join the club. wellcome.jpg to the Kava lounge. I am also on a benzo Taper. I am tapering off 30mg. of Valium. I am down to 25mg. So I am going slow but steady. Im glad your doing well on Kava. I too don't know how I could get by without a few Kavas a week. It does help to take the mind off of the withdrawals. Anyway If you need any support feel free to PM me. I'm usually always around. I wish you the best on your taper. May I ask which Benzo You are tapering with? Much Love. Roaddog....

Thanks for the kind wishes. The benzo I got hooked on was Etizolam, and I switched over to Valium for the taper. I'm now at .125 mg of Valium a day, which is an absurdly low dose, but these final stages have been particularly difficult. I know that I'm going faster than recommended, but I really want to be done with these things. Kava is definitely keeping me from being a rebound anxiety ridden dysfunctional wreck.

Ouch, yes I know that is a small dose. But like you said the last can be the worst. Here is a link to another Forum, that Is strictly for Benzos. I gave you a link to there Valium taper page. It has helped me a lot. I have the same username, Just look for the skunk, If you join. Its Called Benzo Buddies. Here is the Link http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=96753.0 . Also yes Kava is an ass saver, while tapering. I have got to have my kava, or my evenings just hurt. Its like a few hour vacation from Benzo withdrawal Hell, followed by sleep. Of course with the help of some other sleep aids I stack on the pile. Anyways, I glad to hear Kava is a positive for you during your Taper. Many claim it works off the same receptors. But I don't believ that. I say this because I have had no problem stopping kava, and it did not make my Withdrawals worse. I do tend to crave kava worse, well and benzos too, when I take a break. But that's my own addictive mind at work there. Like I said. If there is any thing I can help with, don't hesitate to ask. Much love. Roaddog....

Thanks again. The energy here seems very positive. I'm at a point right now where I'm drinking Kava several times a day everyday. I've been careful about only purchasing Kava cultivars that test as noble per the acetone test. However, I suspect a liver test may be wise If I continue to drink it at that rate. Just to be on the safe side.

Welcome Pall Mall! Your name reminds of the cigarettes we use to smoke in the creek just for grins. Yeah, unfiltered. :hungry: We did cigars too. The Tudie of tobacco, they made us sick. You are in the right place for Kava Info and good times both.
::frosty:: What? Ohhh, he said "Fostering". I thought he said "Frostying". Anyway, What Up Bro! Frosty the Zombie Snowman at your service.
