Krunk is out. Mild mellow is ok, heavy mellow probably not.

But with practice you can learn to dekrunk in an hour or two. Drink water, eat bread, stop drinking kava.....

If you have any question of your ability to operate a car after you've just downed a number of shells, it's just not worth it. I don't think anyone could resposibly give you an answer to the amount of kava that would be safe to drink and then drive. My official answer is zero, but in reality it's somewhere on the scale. I'm not willing to find out, myself.

I drive after drinking small amounts of kava all the time. I don't feel it effects my cognition or coordination much but after enough shells, it'll be very hard to motivate me to take a drive. It's a personal question and you should know when your limit is reached.

Playing music instruments I do know that kava effect me. In a way it makes me more loose when playing, but also that I start to lack technique. Like my singing it gets more relaxed and more natural, but not as precise and accurate.
I don't drive, I have problems with my eyesight. I loose parts of my vision from time to time during the day.
Judging from how I react on kava I would not like others drivning around after drinking kava. It does give you eye-lag after all.
Maybe one shell... maybe. If you really had to drive somewhere.

I got pretty krunk on Waka once and was able to drive fine. My head just felt super floaty but I don't feel like it affected my concentration. It's easy to sort of push the Kava to the side when you need to and then relax and let the Kava take over at the proper time. Even the heavier kavas sort if fade once you get up and move around.

I think its very difficult to answer that question as it depends on the kava, the mix, how much you ate for lunch, your hydration level etc.
I usually have a level of kava feeling when I know its time to go home - and continue drinking at home if needed. But sometimes you get caught out - like on my last trip to Vanuatu had just 4-5 shells of borogu from Lini's nakamal 15km from town. My head felt fine but as soon as I stood up my legs went and double vision kicked in quickly - out of the blue. Had to have a 30 minute nap before driving back, and even then it was a white-knuckle drive at 20mph..
Personally I don't like driving after any kava - even just on my motorbike to the shop 500m up the road.

For me, at the rate of which I consume kava I find it hard to get off the couch let alone get in my car and drive anywhere. I try to get anything that needs to be done by car before I go into a kava session, that way I can enjoy it without the need to go out again until the following day.

I used to drive on pouni ono all the time and did on moi once. I wouldn't want to do a long drive on a heavy kava. I think borogu was about the heaviest. Recently I've not had the need to but I would know whether I was fit to drive or not and if I felt unfit I just wouldn't bother.
