I love FU'U!

Is there death before life?
I bought some Fu'u a while back from BKH mainly because all the good reviews I've read here.
Been sitting on it for a minute, while I've been drinking V3.
Well in my oppinion Fu'u is my now LOVE OF KAVA!
AWSOME, love the euphoria that comes along quickly, taste MILD "almost good" it makes me kind of giggly, which I love.
Great, Great I REPEAT........AWSOME KAVA!

Any newbies out there, Id suggest this one.
People out there that arent part of the forum just reading up, This Kava is super fantastic!
People suffering from anxiety or depression, WHOAH blows it out the water.
Makes you feel so calm, happy, and at ease!

Bula Kava House "BKH" has outdone my expectations, and thier description on the bag is a UNDERSTATEMENT, because I cannot even come up with words to describe this heaven in a cup!
Super great guys, I just bought some more, and probably wont be buying any other kind for....possibly ever. (Thumbsup)

Ive found myself drinking a few shells at work....and lets just say it makes work seem........more entertaining.haha

I like feeling all chill, while observing everyone running around like a chicken without a head.

Makes me feel like I have a "secret" to life they have no clue on.

I agree! I like FU'U too. It's so nice, relaxing, and also has a very clean effect compared to other kava's i've had. definitely in my collection!

Its WAY better then V3, I've always kinda liked V3 besides a slight stoned feeling it gave me. But Fu'u totally blows its out of the water, I too agree that V3 is a little over rated. " although I do like enjoy it"

When it comes to taste,
Fu'u gets 5 stars. Its light on the tounge, nice mellow spice, and a great numbing effect that isnt overpower.
KBR's V3 I give a 3.5. Its certainly a thicker kava with a strong flavor, the numbing is much more compared to Fu'u

When it comes to effect,
Fu'u gets a 5 star, has a great euphoria that does really come on quickly, it makes "me atleast" feel more creative, socialble, happier, eaiser to not get upset, doesnt feel artificial. It feels like you are connecting with a "true peace" rather then being "stoned". It does really have that "clean effect" like ExtremeG stated, and lasts about 4 hours
KBR's V3, gets a 4 star, I didnt really get any euphoria from V3. It is kinda of a foggier feeling, mixed with relaxed that came on gradually. It kinda has more of a "drug" feeling, and it lasted about6 hours.

Well you've given BKH some more of my business :p well my girlfriend's business, she told me she wanted to buy me kava for our anniversary and she'll try some (I should marry her lolol)

We're gonna get the Fu'u since you recommend the taste for newbies, she's pretty sensitive to the peppery taste in kava though. One a scale of 1 - 10 how 'peppery' do you find this kava?
I found V3 to be way over rated
my bad if i recommended it to you and you didn't like it (smiley: eyes) that stuff blew me away and then some back when Douglas first reviewed it. The many variables that go into the potency/freshness/effects of kava make it very difficult to recommend kavas after some time has passed

O, its cool kavalover. I still like V3, just not as much as Fu'u haha.

I find that not only does it sometimes effect others different. I think that sometimes it not quite "the same" as the last batch, maybe the Chem composition changes slightly with age??

Anyways, Id say Fu'u is probably THE BEST for a newbie judging by all the others Ive had.

I would rate it around a 3 on the pepperscale, it has other tones in its taste that I cant quite put my finger on, its kinda sweet in its own way.

You really dont taste it on the front of the tounge, its lays more on the back, and in the throat.

Also, I imagine you're soon to be wife " you should marry her if she already on the kavawagon, lol" probably wont like the natural numbing effects of kava, I havent met to many who do. So I think that might be a plus also.

I personally developed a like for the numb after getting used to it.

All in all, the euphoria might even give you guys some pretty good love making too, haha. Which is always good.

It kinda feels like it would be fun feeling to feel, while drinking a a few shells.

Let me know how it goes

I will definitely let you know how it goes endwatcher! To be honest I feel much more lovey/romantic/friendly when drinking kava vs wine. I really hope she enjoys it as much as we do. I think it would be a very pleasant experience together

Whoa! This is some fine ground kava! How is it through a strainer?! Seems like it would all seep right through my Fijian kava strainer. Probably won't drink any of my new kavas until next week sometime, I'll be kind of busy the next few days but I'll let ya know how it goes for me then.

Kavalover-This batch of Fu'u is quite a bit finer than some previous batches. When straining we suggest using a tightly woven cloth or muslin bag. The good thing about the fine grind is that less time kneading and agitating the mixture is necessary, but you definitely have to use the right strainer for it. Future batches may be just slightly more coarse.

I agree with Judd,

What Ive been doing with this one is doubling up on my strainer. Its takes a little more compared to 1 strainer, but it seems to really allow the oils to release.

that, or just throw it in a bowl of oatmeal, and enjoy :p Nothing better then numbing oatmeal, haha.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll probably do what I usually do with fine kavas and put my kava panty-hose and then put that in a Fijan strainer. Can't wait to give this stuff a try!

I....... have NEVER thought of that! I have to try this. (smiley: pimp)

This Fu'u is awesome man, not only as a nice relaxing and mellow good tasting kava-brew, but as a great base for mixes. I haven't got a finer strainer out yet, though, so I might as well not even be straining the Fu'u (smiley: laugh) it's a very thick brew in the end. But still very, very nice kava. If anyone has BR Tudei laying around, Fu'u and KBR tudei are great mixes. Good for studying.

I like this more powdery grind. It is way easier to knead than the boroguru I got from you a month or so ago..

I just mixed up my first batch of fu'u and its starting to kick in :)

my only question is, is it ok to be drinking so much of the powder?

I started with 1 cup and was left with only about 1/8 cup after straining with a double strainer bag from @home

it flows right through the bag, ive never seen a grind this fine.

are there any health concerns on your system for digesting so much powder? its like a fine sand.

im starting to giggle and it feels reeeeeaaaaallllly good to stretch my face

thanks

I have an unopened bag. However the grind kinda scares me when I think about drinking straight powder and how my skin pretty much dries up and flakes off. I may try this with the Fijian strainer. Wish I could use the paradise strainer if I hadn't cut the crap out of it. I'm on a stone binge at the moment though.

Hey guys, brand new to forum (glad to be here) and fairly new to kava as a whole. After trying KKF 84% paste and yogi's tea versions I went ahead and ordered the Fu'u ceremony kit from BKH. Had first couple bowls last night. Set me in a very happy state. As said, glad to be here guys!
