I have enjoyed some Santa Cruz Solomon Island kava last couple nights. I went 5 days without kava and it was starting to wear on me big time considering life goes on and it was just super challenging this week. Now that I got some kava I gotta try not to drink it all at once! Ooh whee! It's nice though. Can't wait to get back into Fijian kava for a bit starting next week when my Squanch arrives. Santa Cruz is reliable, isn't Fijian though! Bula!
We had record high temps yesterday, hottest Halloween on recorded history here. In 1942 it was ~72 degrees, yesterday it was 74. Places around us were hitting 80F! We encountered some 50MPH wind gusts as darkness settled in and throughout the night to continue to affirm the spooky vibe of the holiday.
I was safe, kava'd up and hunkered down, in the home before dark, and went to bed early! Slept straight through the night. Now my 4 days of work begin with today, and on the 5th day I'm going out to my home town to visit dad and spend a night! I'll have to make the kava last till then so I have something to drink while I'm out there! Malok all!
