Ok, so I don't have enough experience with kava to really offer a real review, so instead I thought I'd come here and give general impressions. I'm a 2 month kava drinker, so take what I say with the appropriate amount of salt.
Tonight I had a shell of Kalm Borongoru from the leftovers from the fridge, then cracked the GHK M'oi that arrived (fast!) yesterday.
I brewed a batch thusly:
Observations:
An haiku:
M'oi awa by cups.
My soul sweetly awakens.
Feeling subtle joy.
And:
Pleasure envelops.
I'm giddy with inner calm.
HERE is the best place.
Sure, this is probably dorky and embarassing, but I feel so much FLOW right now I just want to keep going and going.
Three thumbs up.
Tonight I had a shell of Kalm Borongoru from the leftovers from the fridge, then cracked the GHK M'oi that arrived (fast!) yesterday.
I brewed a batch thusly:
- 1/2 cup of medium grind root powder to two cups of hot water.
- I added 1 scoop (about 1/2 tsp.) of soy lecithin and mixed it with a spoon.
- I let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Then approached with the nut milk bag (80 micron nylon monofilament mesh)
- Lots of kneading under the water.
- Roots and water back into the bag again and strained again.
- Shell time (warm, but that's the way I roll tonight.)
Observations:
- Taste was more subdued than the Vanuatu root I've been having recently. Not as bitter on the finish.
- 40 minutes in, I felt my face getting warm.
- Tingling in my extremities.
- General sense of well being.
- Praise for my daughter on her excellent grades last week.
- Head feeling "swimmy" when I move around.
- Found internet streaming ambient music radio station for headphones.
- kavaforums white background seems a little glaring
- Great satisfaction with my life and how well things are going lately.
- Great appreciation for Gourmet Hawaiian Kava's gardens.
