Is kava a blood thinner?: Addendum

I found this old thread on whether kava is a blood thinner and wanted to add an addendum. According to the studies @verticity dug up, kava may be a COX-1 inhibitor of similar potency to aspirin and ibuprofen, and therefore a blood thinner. However, an important detail is that aspirin is an irreversible COX-1 inhibitor, which is why aspirin can have a significant antiplatelet effect. Ibuprofen is reversible, and therefore has much more negligible antiplatelet activity compared to aspirin. The studies didn't say whether kavalactones were reversible or irreversible inhibitors, but if they're reversible, as is reasonable to assume, the COX-1 activity of kava may be irrelevant w.r.t. any potential blood thinning action.

Interestingly, ibuprofen blocks aspirin's antiplatelet activity to some extent if co-administered:
