Is this kava too course for the aluball??

So I bought a pound of Loa Waka and Borongoru from Kalm With Kava and man it is super coarse, atleast alot more course than the nambawan, nangol noble, and melo melo that I got from Bula Kava House. It doesnt seem to have very strong effects compared, I'm wondering if I'm not getting the most out of it since it's so coarse that the aluball isnt getting much kavalactones out of it. Right now I dont have a strainer and I'm not sure where to find one locally so I'm stuck with aluballing it.

Any advice would be great!

If you have an electric spice grinder, you could perhaps grind it up further. Be sure to clean it out thoroughly if you plan to use that with other herbs and spices. If you have all day, you could empty your entire bag, use the spice grinder on it in batches that will fit in the grinder, then put that back in your bag. Otherwise I'd just grind up however much you plan to use in your Aluball(s).

Yeah, it's just a bit time consuming, but you can actually grind it more.
