Kava Curious
Hello everyone, hope everyone is having a great day. Im trying to decide between mo'i and the honokane Iki. I read what I can so far, and they both sound great. Im trying to use this one at the end of the day and just completely forget all about my problems and worries of the day. When a kava is listed as "heady" does that mean mentally you feel good, but not much physically? Just trying to understand the difference because not that long ago I didn't think there were too many differences between different kavas.

Hi there, usually heady kavas tend to be more euphoric whereas the balanced or heavier kavas have that deep body relaxation. Both can affect you that way, I believe it to be a combination of our body's individual chemistry and the strain of kava. I was just talking to Chris about the Honakane Iki, I like the chemotype.

A nice balanced kava worth trying from him is the Mahakea.

Thanks for the response krunky! Man, two choices was already had now I got three lol. From what I'm seeing and from what you just said, I'm thinking I'll be happy with any of them.

If a wind down in the evening kind of kava is what you want, avoid the Moi. Great kava for daytime, but kept me awake on an evening session. Not saying it will do the same for you, but something that hits the heavy as well is most enjoyable for days end and a great sleep.

Or go with a nice balanced one. Mahakea is my favorite go to balanced kava. Starts with a nice headiness and tapers to a good overall relaxation.
