I've got an exposed nerve hence awful toothache which ibuprofen (advil?) and paracetamol (Tylenol? You see I can do this fancy American talking ;-) ) won't even touch. So I am drinking beer tonight and feeling better already, at least it has killed the pain better than the... er, painkillers could. Is there any kava that would help with a bad toothache? So far I haven't found anything that would help, maybe a really heavy strain like nene and just keep myself the upright side of krunked all day?

I've done this with canker sores, and it worked great -- maybe it will work for a toothache too:

Get some med grind (or coarser) kava, and put a decent-sized pinch 'twixt cheek and gum, near the
affected tooth. Hold it there as long as you can. The numbing effect should help the tooth and the
antiseptic qualities of kava should help prevent any infection.

Then: get to the dentist! I have a fair number of exposed roots, and at one time one was pretty bad. My dentist
covered it with a gum-colored resin and after that I had zero pain.

Another option may be to carefully open a tea-bag, empty the contents and replace with kava. Staple/clip the tea-bag and insert it between your tooth and your cheek.

hi ed the strongest painkiller for toothache is oil of cloves, dont know if you have tried it.i have sensetivitey in my teeth, and use clove toothpaste which is much better than sensodyne toothpaste also got essential oil of cloves it has the same painkilling power as benzocaine, and its also antiseptic so will stop you getting a infection in tooth.e bay sell it for £1.69 a bottle p+p included.

Another vote for clove oil. That stuff is magical for toothache. I've found kava to work for very mild cases of toothache.. but for serious cases, no bueno.

I had surgery recently.

I used GHK Hanakapi ai or however it is spelled.
The pain completely was relieved.

^ Clove oil sounds promising though.

Hooray for @EQ who has found another miracle cure related to Kava! Now GHK needs to pay you an advertising fee. :sneaky:

You should be able to buy a wax at a pharmacy made to cover exposed nerves from cavities as a temporary solution. Def get to a dentist though. I've used kava for the same situation and it worked well but once the Local anesthetic wears off it will hurt worse. Numb with labs the when it goes numb use the wax. Ymmv
Good luck and godspeed
