Kava: Fact vs Fiction

The "tudei causes nausea" statement is used too much and is causing confusion with new drinkers. The reality is nausea can happen with tudei or noble. It's common to see new people on the forum wondering why they get nauseated from certified noble kava or see people here or on other forums accusing vendors of selling tudei because they experienced nausea. I don't have issues with it much anymore but early on I used to get extremely nauseated from noble kava.
Yeah, you see that in the Amazon reviews all the time. People claim some perfectly good root is tudei because they got sick from it even though the kava is fine and not tudei at all.

Holy bananas that was a read.

All I know is that I don't want this crap at the herb stores .. where many herbalists may be buying cut and sifted kava and then making a tincture of it and then even herbalists are assuming it's liver toxic.
Traditional preperations of the proper part of the right kind of plant are essential

I buy directly from vendor sites now because I don't trust amazon anymore. Plus Amazon reviews are such a mixed bag of people who don't know what they were getting into when they used the stuff and terribly at that and people who in general had the wrong idea altogether about it, then they leave a bad review and everything gets mixed up because you don't know who to trust. Plus a bad batch can happen leading to more bad reviews, there is humans behind it and people make mistakes. If I ever get an obviously bad batch I'll just shoot them an email and ask that I get a replacement because I understand that shit happens sometimes, it's not the end of the world. But most people on Amazon buying kava are probably just wanting to experiment with it or are new/inexperienced altogether to it. Plus I'm pretty sure there is a lot of sketchy vendors on the web that are just in the kava business for exploiting unknowing or new people to it and giving it a real bad name because who do you think the mainstream media is going to listen to the most on it? Those loud masses of people who didn't know there was much corruption involved out there regarding kava who got sick and ran away to tell everyone else that it's like some sort of trap and now everyone involved is being put in a bad light. I don't think in the US kava will ever be mainstream in it's use because it's so weird tolerance wise so I'm not worried about it ever being illegal from all of sudden break outs of news stories that we all probably seen before used to make it so by it's opponents where some idiot does it horribly wrong somehow with other factors involved and ends up dying or almost dying in some ridiculous fashion adding to the sob story for everyone reading the paper who doesn't know any better to trust everything they read. Then the party is over soon enough for everyone at the hands of those exact people and a bunch of out of touch folks in higher positions that also agree that banning anything they don't understand is a great idea. Meanwhile alcohol continues to ruin countless lives in the most obvious fashion any drug can but it's so socially guarded that it's untouchable and the propaganda train keeps rolling.

I remember my first bag of Kavafied Supreme after I learned about the very basic effects of kava by stumbling upon it by accident in Yogi's kava tea a long time ago that's pretty gross but I stomached it because how I felt about the kava justified it and I was making it the traditional way in their basic strainer. Oh god it was terrible, I did such a bad job and too much sediment got into the bowl. I even sipped it over the course of the night instead of drinking it down fast. I just felt bloated and only somewhat where I wanted to be all night and I sleeping was mission impossible with how bad I felt. Now if I gave up and never kept trying and just left a bad review about how bad it is for you and some jabs at people who drink it then I would only have added to the sea of misinformation/propaganda and probably at some point gone back to alcohol and really got myself messed up and ruined my life. But I kept going at it like any other expensive hobby that takes time to turn into something great and even learned about the Alu Ball that makes things so much easier and no major problems to report and a got hit a by the reverse tolerance train a bit but I was lucky to be one of the people who was more naturally effected by it right off the bat. Some immediate family members know about it and that I use it and they are on the negative side of indifferent just cautious because they don't entirely understand it which is totally understandable. The one I know who enjoyed the tea takes one look at the actual root drink and doesn't want to touch it because it's such an exotic experience to them.
