Kava import/export from Fiji

I’ve been getting mixed messages about bringing kava both into fiji, and taking from fiji into NZ.
I am planning on arriving in fiji with 5kg, then picking up another 10kg between flights, then arriving into NZ with the 15kg.
I’ve done this before with no problems, but have read online that there is a maximum 5kg personal kava allowance coming into Fiji, a max personal export from Fiji, and also that sanitary certificates are needed for bringing it into NZ

Does anyone have any recent experience of this?

I can now answer my own question in case it helps anyone bringing into NZ in the future.
The NZ govt website said a phyto-saniatary certificate is needed from the country where you got the kava, and stated a maximum of 15kg for personal use.
I had 5kg from kiribati and 10kg from Fiji in the end, declared it on arrival in NZ, and customs weren’t even slightly interested in either the certificate or the quantity. They only wanted to check my case for food etc.
Next trip I’ll ditch my clothes & bring 30kg home.
