Kava Question

Hi, I've been taking kava off and on for about a year now, but I just had to get put on Prednisone for 5 days. Does anyone know if I can still take kava with the Prednisone?

Two forum members that I haven't seen around lately have both mentioned being on prednisone at some point. But I can't say for sure if they were drinking kava at the time or not, they were pretty regular kava drinkers though.
I found one person's answer on a google-groups page, saying that they got some relief on kava, from Prednisone induced anxiety. But they also said they preferred small xanax doses.
It doesn't appear to a combo common enough to have much info about it.

I did see the post about the kava for anxiety from Prednisone. I'll probably just try to hold off on the kava for the next few days unless I REALLY need it. Thanks for the info.

I'm almost positive that infraredz was on prednisone and made a point to not drink kava while on it. shakas is right though, there isn't much real information on any interactions but as always we suggest if there's a question, better to err on the side of caution.
