kava temperature to increase strength?

You guys have given me ideas! Thank you, will re-use kava will warm water. To me it does taste better with cooler water(like lukewarm) but I do not want to waste. Also I have noticed it still feels like something is there (a wet feel) after one use. I do not think I make it as strong as other people(little person). My idea it to take it out of the bag and put it in bowl and pour hot water on it. I do believe tepid or cool h2o makes a better taste, but a second extraction would be a nice gift.

I should mention that I'm preparing it hot, but not drinking it hot. I put ice in it before I drink it.

While kavalactones break down in HIGH temperatures, soaking your kava in WARM water (body temperature or just enough higher that your hand feels very warm but not hot when immersed in it) does seem to loosen up the kavalactones in the rootstock and seems to release kavalactones into the water more quickly. I usually make my kava ball, soak it in a cup or two of warm water for 10 to 20 minutes then start a squeezin' them kavalactones out. When the ball feels less like clay and more like a bag of root material I start adding cold water then ice to chill it and increase the volume of beverage to the amount I had planned to make and voila; fresh chillled 'Awa! clap clap BULA!
