So I went ahead and ordered myself two vials of isolated kavain just for the heck of it. Whilst I was browsing the kava products I saw something that I have seen with many other herbs but not kava and was curios about it. It was a kava powder that was 40% extract. At first I simply thought this was Instant kava, but a few items down I saw instant kava that was labeled as instant green. I've seen powder extracts that are something like 70% wild lettuce extract, or salvia 30x and so on and so forth. I was just curious as to what exactly this stuff is, and how it's made. Oh and also, is the kavain extract, extracted with ethanol or is it simply dissolved in it? Either way I figure I may as well try it; seems like it will be good for on the go situations when I need to medicate quickly. I am also going to add a few drops to some e-juice and see vaporization is possible

I couldn't imagine the taste of kavalactone vapor. Just be sure to let your atomizer/cartomizer or your tank (if you have the ego-t system) sit open (no drip tip, or for the tank with the cap off) for a while after you add the kava isolate to it. Need to give it time to let the ethanol evaporate. I'd say it wouldn't work, but I don't know what the effective dose of kavalactones which are rapidly absorbed... but hey, you never know until you try. I've thought about giving the isolate a go myself. Let us know how well it works.


You can actually buy lab isolated kavain and a range of other kavalactones for that matter, but be ready to spend like $1 per milligram.

I had a vial of the isolated kavain a while back. I put a few drops into shells of otherwise strong grog and it it definitely added a heady sort of feeling to it. I didnt try any on its own. My assumption is that the the lactones work better together than isolated, but who knows. Report back if you get any results with just the kavain.

Where can you buy the lab isolated stuff kapm? And I believe it was the kava cola guy who said that for awhile they tested making kava ecigs, so who knows, it might work. If not, then I will just add it too bowls or take it with me on the go and experiment with it. Hopefully Tyler will be able to chime in about that kava extract powder

Wow that's pretty expensive. I wonder how much would be a proper dose of 98% pure kavain... Seems to me that pure kavain would be some pretty powerful stuff, as is a lot of stuff when it's in pure form. But for 1 gram of 85% pure kavain at under 7 bucks a pop, I think I'll stick with the kt stuff.

Hi, I haven't had a chance to make more of the 85%. I will get to it within the next 2 weeks. It is very very popular but excruciating to make.

This is the crude extract from which the 85% Kavain is derived.  Without divulging too much, I use supercritical C02 methods and then crystalize in ethanol.  I use 190 proof ethanol as the solvent in the vials to keep the material totally dissolved and also for ease of measuring.

I cant find ingredients anywhere, I cant have sugar and have several allergies


does it have any body effect?

i like adils extract but it is head only and i am looking for body effect

Got it today and am please so far. I took maybe around 1 and a half drops orally (very difficult to dose) and I could feel it, more than placebo. Now I am trying to figure out ways to ingest it. This is what I have come up with, simply dissolving a drop or so on something that will absorb it, for example a blotter, sugar cube, or altoid. I'm currently trying to disolve a drop on an altoid. I put it in the freezer for a bit to see if I could get the kavain to precipitate out of the ethanol solution and onto the surface of the mint that way when the ethanol evaporates, it doesn't accidentally take some kavain with it. Not sure if it worked or not, I took it out and am now letting the ethanol evaporate. Here's what it looks like so far

in the future I think a sugar cube would work better because it's more absorbent then the mint

my goal here is to make something that quickly combats anxiety with the goodness of kava. I'm gonna give them a go in a couple hours when my stomach is completely empty.

That's your dream too?? The cubes were pretty good, not quite as powerful as I had hoped. For some reason it seems that when the ethanol evaporates some potency is lost. I tried making an ejuice with the kavain, but because it's immiscible with water and glycerin, the darn stuff won't stay in solution! The only way to vaporize it would be to use a crack pipe, basically.
