Maldives?

Its a long shot, but has anyone ever taken kava to the Maldives? I have taken it to many countries, but never to a Muslim country that bans alcohol.

There is probably no law against it, but I wouldn't want to ruin the family trip getting nabbed at Customs. Anyone?

I've never been but a quick search indicates you may be right in that it may not be acceptable in Islamic culture. Best to consult with Maldivian customs authorities or the Ministry of Health beforehand or skip it.

I know someone who travelled there with traditional grind kava in sealed original bag. No issues
