Kava Curious
So, my 1st experience with the gods a while back was my last until now. Was Vanautu, Kava by Rex. Was it good? Sure. TOO good. Full responsibility taken. Me and this ridiculous addict brain of mine had yet to learn now NOT TO go batshit with... well, everything (it's not You, Kava, it's Me..smh). Thought I had mastered the art of moderation. Apparently not. From bliss to blah to bliss to blah for 4-5 days straight (if that) until I used up the entire lb. Had to stop & once again save myself from myself. 
Dehydrated, "hungover". 
Meanwhile, replaced with nootropics for anxiety/depression and tucked myself safely away to do a little more self-work, mirror checks, gut checks, self-exploration (naughty things just flashed thru my brain. What? Since I'm laying it all out there... 
) - but you get the drift. 
So I'm finally ready to try to ENJOY Kava and have me a little talk or 4 with the gods again.
So, I figured, since I'm gonna, let me do it RIGHT. Super treated myself to GHK 1/2 lb. I thought, possibly, since I went for micronized this time, I'd maybe wouldn't be riddled with as many "kava faces" as I was with the traditional. Yeah, no. Jeeeez-louiiiiise. Gak. 
I mixed this with chocolate almond milk. Mistake. I think tomorrow I will spring for some pineapple juice and hope for a little flavor-masking. 
But!
Mixed (shook) a little more than a tbsp. in 3/4 measuring cup of the almond milk. Almost instant onset. Inside of 5 minutes, the gods took my hand and we skipped away. Or into the garden, rather. I'd been working on my soil - tilling and seeding all day but kept being met by random panic attacks. Over freakin' carrot seeds or god knows why. Such bullshit. And so sick and tired and sick and TIRED of going thru this nonsense.
Was SO happy when the mail-lady delivered my GHK package today. Warmth, contentment, anxiety obliterated - planted with the gods for a good 2.5 hrs with no more attacks, happily communed with the earthworms. Yes, they talk to me and yes, I talk back. Not JUST when I drink Kava. True story. They help keep me sane - which says a lot, I suppose. Because about the sanest thing I dew is commune with segmented organisms. 
Which either means I am highly enlightened or am in need of a strait-jacket. Haven't quite decided which yet. 
I realize this is only my 2nd Kava batch ever, but I found no difference in potency from the tradition root. For all of the aforementioned, I will gladly take the gak.

2.5 hrs later made 2 more cups, same method & amts as before. Absolutely beautiful.
Planted all my herbs, flowers, veg. 
Walked my Pooches (after literally not being able to walk out of my front door for a little over a week - attacked by anxiety, couldn't breathe, heart palpitations, the works - upon touching the door knob - sad, pathetic specimen 
), happily played 4 rounds of Uno with the kids, cooked a beautiful dinner while listening to, grooving, singing, dancing along to my local Oldies radio station 
(one of the only stations I can pick up without insane static, don't judge me) (and) (seriously, since when is Elton John, Billy Joel and Michael Jackson considered oldies? I refuse to believe I am THIS old. Yes, I know all the words 
but we've already addressed the no-judgments thing, yes?). Been 3.5-4hrs since those 2nd 2 cups, now I'm here, feeling beautiful, still. Also I have some crazy foot pain going on nowadays - also obliterated now, walked out with the anxiety - bye, assholes. But no mas today. Moderation, damnit - moderation. 
But I can't WAIT until tomorrow.
