All very well and good, sir. Yet, if I have permission to speak freely I have to say there's some nostalgic aura that I think I might miss for a while from the old forum. Some of us are sentimental, I guess.

Hey Kapm, I also realized the "Kava Culture" forum wasn't here. After reading through the addiction thread and seeing those of us in recovery talk about their relationship with Kava, I really started to appreciate the value in that board...

You may speak freely now and always. I feel the same way which is why I've been sitting on the domain name since November of last year. I definitely don't like leaving home behind, but that time period where there was 1 or 2 posts every 10 hours made me worried that the online kava community was losing steam. Also, I think we need a refresh. Something new, something more up to date and inviting to new users. Also I've been asking Doug LaRose about this since November and I've gotten not a single response. No "Sure!" or "Absolutely not" or even a "maybe". Honestly I understand being that he's in a very rural part of Africa, but I couldn't let our community wither. So I figured I'd just ask for forgiveness.

I think it might be nice to have a section for actual Kava Bars, much like for the "Brick and Mortar" stores. There seem to be very few, but the more info the better...maybe?

I'd be surprised if he wasn't supportive of the move in one way or another. I think we have out grown the yuku forum. I for one will always be grateful to Dough for starting the community in the first place. It's certainly noticeably grown since the day I joined.

Good to see you here Vekta!

I think the best support would be some sort of re-direction to this webpage. I lurked the Yuku forum for almost 2 years before I even tried Kava and I am appreciative for that forum and the info provided on it.

This forum is fantastic. Kudos for putting it together.

I had kind of quit on the yuku forum, but you'll probably be seeing more of me here. I hope people start jumping on chat more in the evenings. I love seeing that embedded in the forum.

Thanks Ed, I know we hashed it out in the old forum about a new one. I made a semi message board then...but it was absolutely bombarded with spam like 10 minutes after I made it, so it remained closed and just a host for our chat which turned into a chat for, I guess, every other website on the internet. Yuku was going slightly flaky as well, at times I'd go to the board and it would give me a 404 error.

This forum software came into existence from the lead developers of the ever popular vbulletin board that spun off into another direction. It's sickly easy to change settings and change appearances....almost too easy....let just say Easy enough.

Be sure to thank kavadude for his help too, he took the time to get a full copy of the yuku boards, format them, and then import them into this board. Very arduous work, and my brain melts a little when I think of what he had to do. I'm really hoping the kavasseur will be as gung ho as we are.
