Great post Henry, thanks for that. I especially resonate with your point about listening to the kava. I've had a few similar experiences so far, where when I was quiet and meditative, it worked much better.

The last time I was at a kava bar, there was reggae on the speakers and a guy playing didgeridoo at the same time. It was the perfect time to take a growler home. You definitely need to be in a setting that you like.
