Kneading, squeezing. sometimes heating/soaking will improve any prep for me including blender / aluball idea.

Squeezing / kneading in itself is a spiritual experience for me these days. What you put in is what you get out of this remarkable root. With that being said having an option on the go is a great thing. No comparison though for me

How about blending for 3 minutes, kneading for 5, then moving it to the Aluballs and shaking for 2 minutes? Seems like a lot of work, but maybe it would serve to extract some of the kavalactones which otherwise would not come out during one of the other methods?

knead and squeeze in hot water every day for medium grind dry powder.
high powered blender for fresh roots followed by a little squeezing.
aluball for quick situations or mixing somewhere where the full prep would be more difficult
