Not listed up there, so I'll just write here. I got interested in kava from a cultural perspective. Even as a little kid I was interested in geography. The globe fascinated me and I liked looking at all kinds of maps and books about people from around the world. I got into kava because it's something that South Pacific islanders drink and as an adult, I wasn't about to settle for just having knowledge of what kava is. I wanted to drink it myself, see what it tastes like, feel the effects. I'm in no way a Pacific Islander myself. I doubt many would want to live in my neck of the woods, but all the power to them if they wanna live somewhere far from the ocean with chilly, snowy winters and summers that are hot but not nearly as enjoyable as what you'd have out on a tropical island.
(Glad I still have a bit of Hanakapi'ai in the cupboard still. It's been a while...)
