Their 11 one pound bag option for fresh frozen kava pulp look like the best choice overall for buying quality bulk at a reasonable price. I’ve tried emailing them for a week to find out what varieties are currently available but no reply. I’m particularly interested in the Pana’ewa based on the kavasseur’s review.

They have hawaiian kavas Moi, hiwa etc
They might also have ISA and micronesian kava like rahmwenger?

Just write some options in the comments when you order.

The lack of respons is probably due to the holidays.

I’d love to try rahmwanger. I tried to order that through My Jadesa but it fell through and they don’t answer my emails anymore. I’d especially like to use the hibiscus bark filter with it.

I have had Mahakea before but otherwise no experience with Hawaiian kavas. I tend to prefer the heavier kavas for help with the nerve pain and sleep but I also like some balanced and a little heady on occasion.

I have had excellent experiences with Kava Depot and their unparalleled transparency, being very prompt with the COA on request, and customer service but I don’t like how every kava they carry is predominately DHK. My dream strain would be a 415 for optimal pain relief and minimal side effects. That DHK so often gives me the spins.

I really loved their Hiwa and Opihikao (Spotted Hiwa) and Hanakapi'ai when I drank their fresh frozen root a couple years ago.

I definitely enjoyed the Panaewa and the Nene, may have tried a Mahakea, overall Hiwa is one of my favorite Hawaiian cultivars regardless of fresh frozen or not, but the fresh frozen is a very special treat and my friend has been talking about it ever since. It's basically the only kava he enjoys the taste of.

One time I asked for as much Hiwa as possible and got like nine pounds of straight Hiwa from Pu'o Hoku Ranch.

I have eaten their venison (Sweet feed Hawaiian deer) and apple-bananas, honey, gotten a bumble-bee tea towel from them...The price doesn't always fit in my budget, however when it does, it's worthwhile for the experience of fresh green kava.

Oh yeah, I tried an Isa from them, too. I don't know if I had to ask for it, or if it was a random inclusion, it was certainly unique. Sticky, piney, yellow-gold brew color. Seemed to have digestive benefits but did not do for me what regular kava does. Glad I tried it so that I know what Isa is!!

Definitely check out the Hiwa if you get a chance!!
