Purple 'Awa

[Gourmet Hawaiian Kava]

I just found a very rare and never before discovered kava, I call it the Purple 'Awa. As you can see in the picture, it is purple. I bet it is a very potent kava, maybe around 25% kavalactones. I wonder if it is that Mokihana that is spoken of in Hawaiian history? Anyway enough talking, here is the picture---

Well guys, the picture does look cool but I have to admit it is just a regular kava and the picture was doctored. It would be great to see a real kava plant like this one. I hope you all enjoy the picture, aloha.

Nice photo! But purple 'awa is nothing compared to rainbow 'awa, which has about 95% kavalactones. Some say it is found at the location where a rainbow has its source. Photos of this variety are rare though.

Haha; the purple grass growing behind the purple kava was kindof a give-away; thanks for brightening our day! I actually looked a second time to make sure this wasn't an old post from April Fools' Day.
