Hello kava friends! I'm new to using kava and stumbled upon this forum. I have a number of questions, and am open to suggestions on improving my current methods.
I've been preparing noble kava from a Kalm with Kava, and have had a number of pleasant experiences.
My preparation goes as follows:
Materials
1.5 TBSP medium grind Borogu
About 8-10in of cheese clothe cut and folded(hence the username)
Metal strainer
Wide mouth half pint jar
Preparation
Measure out kava
10min soaking at water between 110-130 degrees
Knead and soak on repeat for 10min
Bula!
Discard remaining root.
Do you guys think I could get significantly more out of my kava before chucking it? Trying to get away with avoiding more washes than necessary
I am a medical marijuana patient and need it in some quantity on the daily. Anybody have experience with combing the two? I find my regular THC doses take away from the kava relaxation, but a little goes nicely. I haven't ever consumed more than 4.5 Tbsp in a day. I have also only ever consumed kava in the evenings. My marijuana use is significantly reduced when drinking kava.
I'm thinking maybe I'll start separating the two, herb during the day Kava at night.
Is 4.5 tbsp an evening an okay dose?
I don't drink alcohol or take acetaminophen, I've read those are particularly risky with kava.
I've heard mixed things about daily kava use, and have been limiting it to 3 or less days a week. No side effects so to speak of yet.
Have you guys noticed any difference in quality from traditional noble root v.s premium noble root? Been thinking of trying the premium but wanted to see how others felt about it first.
Sorry for all the questions! Figured since it's my first post I should get them all out on the table. Please feel free to correct me if anything I said is incorrect. Very open to any suggestions and constructive criticism.
Just trying to get the best benefit out of this wonderful plant medicine. My spirituality is strongly rooted in plant medicine, and kava has been excellent at changing my perspective and alongside meditation.
Thank you in advance for any insight!
